Take me to the mountain

Take me to the mountain
And leave me there to be,
To soak up the whole sky
And commune with all the trees.
Let me stay forever,
Never to return,
To live my life with Nature,
The life for which I yearn.

Let me be alone,
Just me the wind and rain.
Those soft soothing movements
Will take away my pain.
The vital green around me
Will bring life to my eyes.
The rivers and the streams
Will fill me with surprise.

I’ll walk and sing and dance,
Absorbed in Nature’s trance.
I’ll laugh and scream and cry
My problems to the sky.
I’ll sit and be and reflect
In the silence I neglect.
I’ll breathe and smile and sigh
My days until I die.
